Michaela Bain
Michaela grew up in Te Atatū Peninsula, attending Peninsula Primary School, Te Atatū Intermediate, and currently, Rutherford College. She enjoys football and spending time with family and friends. This year, she looks forward to interacting with a wider group of people and making the most of her final year of high school.
Dylan Chapman
Dylan has grown up in Te Atatū Peninsula, attending Matipo Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate. This year, he is excited for the rugby and school sports season.
William Chen
William grew up in Te Atatu South, going to Flanshaw road school primary and eventually Rangeview Intermediate. He looks forward to further contributing and giving back to Rutherford college in his last year of school while having a successful academic year.
Lisa Chieu
Lisa went to Sunnyvale primary school and Bruce McLaren intermediate and has lived in west auckland her whole life. She comes from a Chinese background but her mum was born in Vietnam and her dad is from Cambodia. Her goal this year is to try my best, get good grades and gain scholarship for university.
AJ Muliaga
AJ Muliaga was born and raised in Samoa and attended Kelvin Road Primary, Mansell Intermediate, and later, Rangeview Intermediate. He is passionate about acting, volleyball, tag, and social justice and currently commutes from South Auckland to West Auckland for his education. This year, he looks forward to seeing his peers succeed while seeking new opportunities to support his future career goals.
Khamial Gerrard
Khamial went to Arahoe primary school, Avondale Intermediate, and Te Atatu Intermediate. His hobbies he likes to do at home are: drawing, watching parliamentary debates, and learning history, politics, economics, philosophy, and art. He will be looking forward to spending his last year of secondary school trying to have fun and studying toward his third NCEA level with the goal of getting an endorsement in merit or Excellence, and getting a scholarship. .
Lui Joe
Lui attended Matipo Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate before enrolling at Rutherford College. He is excited to work with the student body and take advantage of opportunities such as wrestling and playing gigs with his band.
Isaac Lee Sang
Isaac attended Matipo Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate and spent most of his life on the peninsula until last year. He is Chinese, Aussie, and Kiwi, despite his deceiving looks. Outside of school, he serves as the driver relations officer for Auckland Transport, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in uniform on a bus. This year, he looks forward to being part of all his classes and getting to know everyone. .
MS Praveeena
Praveena began her schooling at Princess Elizabeth Primary School in Singapore before moving to New Zealand in 2017. She then attended Peninsula Primary School and Te Atatū Intermediate. She loves engaging in various art forms, such as dance and music. This year, she is excited for the hockey season and making the most of her last year of high school.
Natalia Noone-Jones
Natalia attended Flanshaw Road Primary, then Te Atatu Intermediate. In her free time she enjoys painting, reading and roller skating. This year she's looking forward to completing her art boards and the next World Scholars Cup round."
Jacob Petley
Jacob was born in England but grew up in Te Atatū Peninsula, attending Matipo Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate. He has always been deeply involved in sports and academics. This year, he looks forward to finishing his high school journey with an amazing final year.
Zach Petley
Zach was also born in England but has spent most of his life growing up in Te Atatū Peninsula. He attended Matipo Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate and considers himself the better version of his twin brother, Jacob. He enjoys swimming, water polo, and astronomy. This year, he is eager to embrace both sports and academic opportunities.
Jayna Pragji
Jayna comes from an indian heritage, but her family have grown up in west Auckland for about four generations now. She has a strong passion for Hockey and she is massive foodie. Jayna’s journey started at Tirimoana Primary School, Glen Eden Intermediate and now Rutherford College, she is looking forward to this years hockey season and making the most of any given opportunity in her prefect and student council leader role.
Felix Rasmussen
Felix has lived in Te Atatū all his life, beginning his schooling at Peninsula Primary before moving on to Te Atatū Intermediate. This year, he looks forward to pursuing his academic studies and sporting activities to the best of his abilities. Outside of school, he enjoys football and creative design.
Ailidh Stewart
Ailidh was born in England and lived in Thailand for eight years. After moving back to New Zealand, she attended Jireh Christian School for Year 8. Choosing Rutherford College for high school was a natural decision due to her connections to Te Atatū through family, church, and friends. She enjoys a variety of hobbies, including drawing, crochet, table tennis, and baking. This year, she looks forward to serving the school and community while enjoying her final year of high school.
Beth Taye
Beth grew up in Te Atatū Peninsula and comes from a proud Ethiopian family. She attended Rutherford Primary and Te Atatū Intermediate. She is passionate about staying active and expressing her culture. This year, she is excited for new opportunities and making the most of her final year of high school as a prefect.
Yashvi Trivedi
Growing up as an only child in a Gujarati family, Yashvi has always valued culture and education. They attended Tirimoana Primary and Rangeview Intermediate before continuing their education at Rutherford College. This year, they are excited to learn new things, take on challenges, and grow along the way.
Sophie Wallace
Sophie grew up in Te Atatū Peninsula, attending Matipo Primary, Te Atatū Intermediate, and currently, Rutherford College. She enjoy football and outdoor activities. This year, they look forward to having fun and making the most of their last year of school.
Kiera White
Kiera attended Fruitvale Primary School before moving to Huapai District School and Matua Ngaru School for intermediate. Now at Rutherford College, she are proud to be a third-generation Rutherford student. Kiera is looking forward to this year's hockey season and excelling in their classes to achieve their goal of studying for a Bachelor of Communications at AUT.
James Wong
James went to Tirimoana Primary and then Glen Eden Intermediate. I’ve grown up in Auckland all my life. This year I’m looking forward to making the most of the opportunities at Rutherford and working with the prefect team.
