The Get2Go Challenge was an exciting and unforgettable experience
The Get2Go Challenge was an exciting and unforgettable experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone while allowing me to work alongside my teammates. Throughout the day, we took part in a variety of outdoor activities that tested our teamwork, fitness, and problem-solving skills.
The first challenge was orienteering, which was both physically and mentally demanding. We ran around 6 kilometres across a huge map, searching for checkpoints, answering questions, and stamping our card at each location. We completed the course within the one-hour time limit by working together while communicating and supporting each other throughout the challenge.
Another activity I enjoyed was mountain biking. My team of eight worked hard to complete as many laps of the course as possible within 50 minutes. We managed an impressive 35 laps, tying with several other schools. Everyone encouraged one another to keep going, and it felt rewarding to achieve such a great result together.
One of my favourite parts of the challenge was the water activities. I really enjoyed paddle boarding for 30 minutes, where I learnt to keep balance and paddle across the water while racing to the finish. We also spent 30 minutes kayaking, which was lots of fun. It took communication and teamwork to steer the kayaks and work together, making it one of my highlights of the day.
Overall, the Get2Go Challenge was an amazing experience that helped me build confidence, improve my teamwork skills, and try new activities. I especially enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking because they challenged me in different ways while creating memories that I will never forget.
