Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding day of Flag Football!

Rutherford College had an outstanding performance at the Auckland Secondary Schools Flag Football Championships, with both teams finishing among the top schools in Auckland. The Rutherford boys’ team were crowned Auckland champions, finishing 1st overall and going undefeated throughout the tournament. The boys put together a dominant performance across the day, showing excellent teamwork, skill and determination to finish the competition without a loss. 

The Rutherford girls’ team also had an outstanding tournament, finishing 2nd in Auckland. After a strong run through the competition, the girls narrowly lost the final, finishing as runners-up. It was a fantastic effort from the team, who competed strongly throughout the day. 

Held at Aorere Park, the tournament brought together secondary school teams from across Auckland, making the results an excellent achievement for both Rutherford teams. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding day of Flag Football!
