Amy Thomson lined up in the Under 18 2km Steeplechase at the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships

Amy Thomson lined up in the Under 18 2km Steeplechase at the 2026 Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin, Australia. 

With the temperature sitting at around 34 degrees, it made for a tough race. Amy crossed the line 5th overall. 

Although the heat meant her time was a bit outside her PB, she was still happy with how the race went. Competing at this level against athletes from right across Oceania is such a huge achievement. 

A great effort, great experience, and another special moment in her athletics journey. Congratulations Amy.
