On Tuesday the 24th of March a group of 16 students went to Mount Eden Bowls Club to compete in the Senior pair’s competition.
It was a day filled with laughs, competition and an amazing time overall.
For some students it was their first time playing bowls and competing in a tournament style which made the day more exciting and memorable. Others, including us, have competed in these competitions previously and we were eager to build on previous experiences and improve our performance.
The day resulted in lots of personal growth, success and even a 2nd place victory for our students Ruby Carter and Leila Richards.
Lawn bowls is such a great game to be involved in, we encourage anyone wanting to try something new to give it a go, as it enriches critical thinking and patience. It is a great way to get out there and you make new friends with different schools on the day.
