Our senior boys volleyball team capped off an outstanding season

Our senior boys volleyball team capped off an outstanding season with an impressive performance at the NZSS 2026 Auckland Championships. Their success is a testament to months of dedication, consistent training, and the strong leadership provided by coach Silas Viliamu. 

The team entered the tournament with confidence after dominating the regular Western Zone competition, where they secured convincing wins and established themselves as formidable contenders. That momentum carried through to the Auckland Championships, where they represented the school with pride, resilience, and a high level of skill. 

The senior boys team delivered a particularly strong campaign, finishing 6th in Division 2. While the competition was fierce, the boys proved they could match it with some of the best teams in the region, remaining competitive in every match they played. Their ability to stay composed under pressure and fight for every point reflected the hard work they had put in throughout the year.

A key factor behind the teams’ success has been their commitment to training. Practicing twice a week consistently throughout the year, the players embraced the demands of the new coaching programme. Under the guidance of Silas Viliamu, the boys adopted a disciplined and focused approach that led to immense improvement across all areas of their game. 

Congratulations to the boys team on an exceptional season. Their achievement at the Auckland Championships are something the entire school community can be proud of.
