Zach Turner competes in the Auckland Schools' Funduro Mountain Biking competition

Zach Turner was out at Riverhead Forest on Sunday 15th February taking part in the Auckland Secondary Schools Funduro Mountain bike series. 

Around 250 students turned up to race, which made for a busy day on the trails. In Zach’s grade alone, 103 riders lined up for the six stage long course, the same one he was tackling. 

Zach put together a solid ride across all six stages, and by the end of the day he’d earned 7th place in his age group and a top 20 finish overall. With such a big field, that’s a result he can feel proud of. We’re wishing him all the best for his second race this coming Sunday at Maraetai.
