It's been a busy start to the summer sports season
It has been a busy start to the summer sports season, with many students getting involved across a wide range of activities. Our teams have hit the ground running — we are currently fielding four volleyball teams, three cricket teams, three tennis teams, and one touch team.
Our First XI Cricket boys have stepped up to compete in a higher grade this year, taking on some strong opponents and proving they can hold their own.
Volleyball and Mixed Touch teams have kicked off the season in fantastic form, both still unbeaten. It’s been a great start, and they would really appreciate some support on the sidelines.
The Mixed Touch team plays at our College on Tuesdays after school, and our Volleyball team competes on Thursdays.
Beyond our major codes, students have also been taking part in Archery, Orienteering, Lawn bowls, Rock climbing and Mountain Biking which is fantastic to see. Offering such a wide range of sports means more students can find something they enjoy and feel confident giving it a go.
We also have several tournaments coming up, including Auckland Secondary school Tag, Touch, Cricket and Volleyball Championships. It’s shaping up to be an exciting season, and we’re looking forward to seeing our students continue to get involved and represent the school proudly.
