Rutherford College Students Volunteer at the Halberg Awards

Every year, Rutherford College students have the chance to volunteer at the Halberg Awards. 

Once again, we were lucky enough to send six of our senior students along for the evening. (Brody Biesheuvel, Roma Bowers-Fleming, Aria Costin, Cameron Deo, Jackson Muller, Ella Page-Wood).

Their night started with helping to sell raffle tickets — a great way to be part of the event and interact with guests as they arrived. 

Once their volunteering duties were done, they were able to sit, relax, and enjoy the awards ceremony itself. 

The chance to be up close with some of New Zealand’s well known athletes was a real highlight for the students, and it’s an experience that clearly made an impact.” 

We’d like to extend a big thank you once again to the Halberg Foundation for giving our students this opportunity.
