Year 10s Represent at Auckland Junior Pairs Bowls Day

Auckland Junior Bowls Day

Last week a group of ten Year 10 students represented our school at the Auckland Junior Pairs Day, hosted by Bowls Auckland at the Remuera Bowling Club. Bowls isn’t always the first sport young people think of, which made it especially rewarding to see our students step up, try something different, and embrace the challenge.

Each pair played five competitive games throughout the day. For some, it was their second year taking part after enjoying the experience so much last year. For others, it was their first time picking up a bowl in a formal competition — and they threw themselves into it with great attitude and teamwork.

The students represented the school with pride, supported each other throughout the day, and walked away with plenty of positive memories. It was a fantastic opportunity to broaden their sporting experiences, and they should be proud of how they performed both on and off the green.
