Mya Anderson Shines at National Tenpin Bowling Championships

Rising Tenpin bowling star Mya Anderson

During the recent school holidays, rising tenpin bowling star Mya made a major impact on the lanes, showcasing her talent at the New Zealand Youth Nationals.

Over just three days, Mya bowled an incredible 34 games, racking up impressive scores and collecting a handful of medals along the way.

Her performance earned her: Silver in Doubles, Bronze in Singles, Bronze for All Events, Bronze in the U18 Masters, Bronze in a Squad Event.

Mya then competed in the New Zealand U21 Youth Teams Event, bowling another 15 games. She performed even better, showing amazing skill and consistency.

Her efforts earned her an All-Star Award for the second year in a row — one of only five given out, and she was the only U18 girl to receive it.

Thanks to her success, Mya has now been selected for the New Zealand U21 and U18 Teams for 2026.

Well done, Mya — a fantastic achievement!
