Congratulations to Roma Bowers- Fleming

Congratulations to Roma Bowers- Fleming, who has been selected to represent the Cook Islands in the International Women’s Cricket Team. 

She will travel to Fiji to compete in the ICC Women’s T20 East Asia-Pacific Qualifier. 

This is a major tournament where eight teams will battle it out for just one spot at the ICC T20 Women’s World Cup Global Qualifier in England. 

Teams competing in the tournament include Fiji, the Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Japan.

On her return from Fiji, Roma won’t be slowing down. During the upcoming school holidays, she’ll head to Hawke’s Bay to play in the Secondary School Girls 1st XI Tournament proudly representing Rutherford College. She will join a combined team made up of talented players from MAGS, Glendowie College, Howick College, and Rangitoto College.
