Amy Thompson has had an outstanding few weeks in competition, showing her talent on both grass and road.

Last weekend, she travelled to Christchurch to compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Cross Country Championships, where she faced a strong field of runners from all over the country. Amy ran a brilliant race to secure second place in the Under 18 Girls division. What an incredible achievement at national level.

Closer to home, Amy lined up at the Auckland Secondary Schools Road Race representing Rutherford in the Intermediate Girls category. This time, she crossed the finish line in the first place, proving she can dominate on any surface.

We are so proud of Amys performances, and we are very fortunate to have a student like Amy being part of the Rutherford community.
