The Pasifika Academy is made of a group of students who are leaders

On Thursday 24th September the Year 6 Peninsula Primary Pasifika Academy students visited Rutherford College. The Pasifika Academy is made of a group of students who are leaders, and the purpose of the visit was to look ahead at where the students are likely to attend college and think about and be inspired by opportunities the school has for them. 

We met with Rutherford College Pasifika Student Leaders Raijeli Cagivinaka 12TND, Krisarn Sietu 12MTO, Jadyn Falo Fai 13MMT and Siliva Tuli 13RRA, who introduced themselves to us and their roles within the school as Pacifika Committee members and the role in which it includes. Later we were taken on a tour of the school which to our surprise was bigger than we knew. These are some of the comments the students had to say about the visit. 

“ I enjoyed meeting new people and looking at which classrooms we might be in and the pizza”. “Today we went to Rutherford College. We learnt a lot today but my favourite thing today was when we had a tour. Xavier “I loved meeting the people and students”. Chosen
