The International Students’ Village was very proud to acknowledge the success of our senior long-term students at Rutherford College’s Scholars’ Assembly held in February.
Phuc Nguyen (Liam) Lam achieved NCEA Level Two with Excellence, also gaining Excellence subject endorsements for Calculus and Physical Education.
Sovanden Som achieved NCEA Level Two with Merit, also endorsing Computer Programming with Excellence and English with Merit.
Chau Giang Nguyen gained NCEA Level Two with Excellence, as well as endorsing Calculus, Physics and Computer Programming with Excellence and Chemistry, Statistics and English with Merit.
Chau also scooped the jackpot with Scholarship Calculus, sitting and passing our highest secondary school qualification from Year 12, a full year before most students attempt such a feat.
Liam, Sovanden and Chau were honoured at our Scholars’ Assembly, each receiving an academic kotuku badge.
Chau was additionally presented with a Rutherford Scholars’ tie by Mr Moore.
