Community Education - New Learning Opportunities

Welcome to Term 2 Evening and Weekend Courses

Welcome to Term 2 Evening and Weekend Courses, where learning fits around your life. Whether you’re looking to gain new skills, boost your career, explore a personal interest, or take the next step toward a new goal, our adult-friendly programmes are designed to be practical, supportive, and flexible.

Last term, we welcomed 439 students across 51 evening and weekend courses and workshops—a great achievement that would not have been possible without our adult students and tutor's commitment.

This term is shaping up to be just as exciting, with new cooking workshops featuring Japanese, Thai and Mexican cuisine. We are also introducing several first-time offerings, including NZ Sign Language Level 2, Leather Binding Journal, Guitar - Acoustic - Level 2, Cyber Health Essentials & Digital Safety, Work Dynamics.

Next, we are thrilled to announce the beginning of a new partnership with Tangata Tiriti – Treaty People. On 5th of September, we shall offer Te Tiriti o Waitangi - a full day workshop.

Important dates in Term 2:

-    4th to 10th of May- Road Safety Week | Brake (New Zealand)

-    27th and 28th of May - ACE Conference | Adult and Community Education – the office will be closed, no classes scheduled on these days
