Year 10 Future Me – University of Auckland
12 of our Māori and Pacific Year 10 students took part in a Future Me day at the University of Auckland accompanied by Mrs Gibson and Mr Talamaivao.
This opportunity allowed them to broaden their minds and support them with their academic journey through high school. Students were able to explore their academic future through engaging and interactive workshops.
Our students enjoyed their day on campus and shared their experience with many other Auckland schools.
Cathy McGough – Careers
I enjoyed going around and learning about the workshops they had at UOA, even if I didn't particularly have any interest in some of the subjects. I still think it's important to look over the kind of options you have before deciding on a career.
I would recommend other students to visit a university just to look at the difference between the universities they want to go to, or just to see if they would like to go to university at all.
I already had the idea to go to UOA due to encouragement from family, and the number of opportunities I can get from going there. But this experience has cemented this idea further.
